Honour Health Jesmond

Honour Health Jesmond is a well-established, award-winning aesthetic dental and skin centre based on Osborne Road in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The practice is led by principal dentist Onkar Dhanoya, who has more than 30 years of experience in the dental industry. He is supported by a talented, dedicated team, who have been looking after the dental health and wellbeing of patients across the North East and beyond for more than 15 years.

A Fellow of both the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) and the International College of Dentistry, Onkar has been a clinical teacher in the restorative department at Newcastle Dental Hospital since 1996, and holds postgraduate qualifications in implant dentistry, conscious sedation, dental acupuncture, facial aesthetics, clinical education, dental practice management and dental practice appraisal. He has been involved in delivering postgraduate education as a foundation dentist trainer since 1991, and is Chair of North Tyne Local Dental Committee (LDC), and President of the British Dental Association (BDA)’s Northern Counties branch.
Onkar is an examiner for MJDF Royal College of Surgeons (England), a clinical coach for dental implants, and an advisor for the General Dental Council. He is past Chair of the Northern Regional Council of LDCs and has represented the dental profession nationally as a member of the British Dental Association (BDA) English Council and the GDPC.

shows them an instant 3D outcome simulation of what they could achieve using
Invisalign aligners. If a patient goes ahead with treatment, the iTero scanner sends a digital image straight to Invisalign to allow completely accurate manufacture of the clear aligners. This is an excellent alternative to taking impressions, and patients find the iTero experience to be a much faster, more comfortable process.

The clinic also features gold-standard hygiene treatments through the use of the EMS Airflow system, which painlessly and effectively removes plaque and lifts stains for a brighter, healthier smile.

The Jesmond site is a renowned teaching practice for newly qualified dentists, and several of the dental surgeons there have been appointed as trainers by the Northern Deanery.
